Nu har Raps testat om det funkar och publicerat en studie bl.a. på Raps hemsida (se länk nedan). De hittade inga bevis för att en midja skulle förbättra de kvaliteter som hastighetsfantomerna i kondomdräkter vill ha.

It can be concluded that the hypothesis of the bent blades must be rejected. No significant results could be found that imply that skating on bent blades affects the symmetry of the push off forces during skating the straight part of the oval. Also the hypothesis of the carved blades must be rejected. No significant results could be found that imply that skating on carved blades affects the duration of the gliding and push off phase.
However the data showed some trends, thus there may be some significant differences if more data had been collected.
