I was looking for a way to have a light-weight, easy-handed, tool to measure the ice-thickness with only one hand in a small hole in the ice. I thought the "normal" metal centimer shift tool is not so handy, because you have to make a relative big hole in the ice to get it through. So I tried to construct something myself.
Det här är min istjocklekmätare:
In "dry-tests", the tool works very well, so far. The hole in the ice only needs to be 1,5 cm wide. I hope I can test it often with real skating conditions this season!
