Hello out there!
I am currently considering a trip to East Greenland, either to the Tasiilaq-area or to Scoresbysund. While the first destination is quite easily accessible the latter as to my awareness stands for more logistical challenges. The huge fjord makes some lifts either by plane or by boat necessary in order to cover the distances between the village of Scoresbysund and the inner parts of the fjord.
An alternative trip could be northwards along the impressive coast of Liverpool Land.
Does any of you have knowledge about and experience with the drift-ice conditions there? Is the coast of Liverpool to be expected ice-free during the summer months or can it also be inaccessible after an icy winter period?
To go there without paddling opportunities would not be my favourite thing.
Thank you all for your help and best regards
