Klaetter Foersaekring tillaegg
I'd ike to draw attention to the fact that insurance through SKF
(administered by Folksam) specifically excludes medical costs that result
from a climbing accident. If you are planning to climb outside the EU,
and especially the USA, this is the most important coverage you need.
You can buy a travel-tillaegg from Folksam for 839Kr per month,
which seems to really cover everything in the sports-injury area, or you can
buy a whole year's home insurance, which includes the travel tillaegg,
for 700Kr. I guess it's worth changing companies if you climb abroad.
Cautionary tale : I asked my old company (Trygg Hansa) about off-piste/climbing and was sold a tillaegg that the guy claimed covered "everything". I happened to call back later and asked someone else about a detail, and they told me that the only thing the tillaegg did was increase the amount of money my dependants get if I die.
