Subject: Carbon Tarp Pole?
Hi
I'm interested in your carbon tent poles and I wonder if they can be used as tarp poles as well?
I'm needing a 2 section pole with length of each pole ca 24" for a total length of ca 48".
Are your .292" tubing strong enough to keep it straight as a tarp pole?
Regards

At 48" long our tubing can support about 10 lbs. of axial load before flexing. When flexed it acts as a constant force spring. That is, the spring force remains constant even as it flexes more. The axial load it can support is inversely proportional to the square of the pole length. Half the length can support four times the load.
