Anyone been in the Barre des Ecrins during June/July?
I will travel to the area along route Helsinki - Lyon - L'argentiere (or Ailefroide) and from there through Pre de Madame Carle to Ecrins Refuge. From the refuge it should be possible to cover several peaks, including the Barre.
I have been in contact to one local climber and the Ecrins Park office, but would like to konw if some of you have any insight information about this kind of journey? Any help (especially related to the approach
from Lyon to Ecrins refuge) is appreciated. The most likely date for the trip is around first two weeks in July, before French summer holidays.
